Well, I’ll be damned if that isn’t the funniest, saddest, most “I feel attacked” line to summarize a unique form of depression I’ve yet read.
Peels, I feel like your level of accomplishment is so impressive that you should absolutely be able to write your own ticket. Yet the industry wide gaslighting generated by the hype-engine-startup-sexiness-meets-engineering-pragmatism-inability-to-understand-eachother makes everyone feel like they need to find unicorns in the wild.
I get that job hunting is a uniquely taxing search for meaning. It’s degrading and absurd and requires that you accurately predict the future and nail it on your first try. But I believe in you, and you’re a fantastic writer and know what you have to offer.
